6 years ago I embarked on my health and fitness journey. At 225 lbs., diagnosed with hypertension, facing physical pain and discomfort on a daily basis then learning my mother had been diagnosed with diabetes, I made a decision to change my life. I did not want to pass a lifetime of bad habits along to my young son. I began to eat well, focus on water intake and avoid sugars and I lost 50 pounds over the course of 6 months. Feeling better and gaining confidence I joined a gym and started working out 4 to 5 days per week while continuing to eat well. I was eventually successful at losing 85 pounds and have kept it off for the last 6 years. My health issues have subsided, I’m stronger and more confident than I ever knew I could be and have adopted a lifestyle that works.
I have been a certified personal training since 2014. I have trained a wide range of age groups including seniors. While I adapt programs to individual needs, I have a passion for strength training, HITT training and weight loss programs. I am eager to pass along this experience and support to others, which is what motivated me to obtain my personal trainer and nutrition coach certifications. I know that it takes a little pain and a lot of perseverance to be successful. It also takes a support system and encouragement. I love being that support for those I coach and train!
