Flood Input Sought

FEMA

FEMA/SEMA Map

Public comments are being sought

Residents are asked to review the proposed Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) to help assess and accurately represent the risk in Sunset Hills.

Please see the website to make comments on the interactive map.  It is a fairly intuitive tool, with a similar feel to using Google Maps.  It will resemble the screen shots shown right.  Comments will be accepted until October 30, 2017.

FEMA/SEMA are looking for comments that include items like:

  • flooding locations or high water information for certain events,
  • areas not shown in the SFHA that flood,
  • and other commentary.

If you have questions or need help, please contact Assistant Planner, Lynn Sprick with the Sunset Hills Public Works Department via email or at 314-849-3400.  She is familiar with the process and can assist if you have questions or difficulty accessing this online tool.
