Bander Property Proposed Master Plan

Bander Concept A

A proposed master plan for the City’s recently acquired Bander Property was presented to the Board of Alderman on Tuesday, March 10th.

The proposed plan includes the following:

  • Constructing approximately 3 miles of passive walking trails,
  • Connecting 4 existing lakes on the property to Watson creek (the creek that currently runs through Bander Property) for potential storm water retention
  • The addition of an 18-hole disc golf course,
  • Fishing access in one of the lakes
  • Driving Range (currently in operation)
  • Prairie Grass/Wildflower Areas

Currently there is no time frame for the construction of this plan, as it will be considered in future years as funds become available.  The master plan is still a draft and the Board would like citizen input.  If you have any questions or would like to provide feedback, please contact Parks & Recreation Director Gerald Brown at
