Yes. The City of Sunset Hills deer control policy and hunting regulations (Ordinance #1883), allows the hunting of deer only. The only permissible method of hunting deer is by archery device and crossbow. Hunters need to obtain a Sunset Hills deer hunting packet from City Hall or download one from the website.

Sunset Hills has several ordinances regarding noise complaints. Call the police for complaints about loud parties, stereos, or barking dogs. In most of these cases it will be necessary for a complainant (not the police) to be willing to sign a summons in order to charge a person with this violation. Noise caused by construction work, heavy equipment and blasting is restricted to 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Trash pick-up noise is restricted to the hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. These last 2 type of complaints do not need a complainant's signature.Police

All telephone numbers have been routed into the 911 system to connect to the police agency responsible for that location. Sunset Hills dispatchers answer all calls made in Sunset Hills to 911. The 911 system automatically displays the telephone number and address to the dispatcher of any incoming 911 call. The dispatcher will then obtain the nature of the emergency, verify the address and send the appropriate units. All 911 calls that originate from a cellular telephone will connect you directly to the St. Louis County Police Department. If your are calling from a cellular phone you will need to advise the dispatcher the exact location of the emergency so they can connect you to the proper agency. Please remember, 911 is a powerful tool that has saved many lives, but it should be used in emergencies only.Police

Yes. Prior to leaving on vacation, notify us by calling 314-849-7867 (suns) and answering a few questions. That information will be given to the patrol officers. Your home will be checked daily. Upon your return, please call and advise us so that we may cancel the daily check.Police

Bond is accepted at the Sunset Hills Police Department at 3905 S. Lindbergh. Bond can be paid in cash, with a money order, or by an approved Bail Bondsman. We cannot accept checks or credit cards. If your only warrant is for failing to appear for your court date, you may be able to post bond and be issued a new court date without the need for fingerprints and photos.Police

The City of Sunset Hills, Parks and Recreation Department has transitioned into the ActiveNet portal, which is an easy-to-use online registration system. Activity registration can be completed and fees can be paid online by credit card (unless otherwise noted). You will need a valid e-mail address to register online. Customers that have a membership, registered in a program, rented a room/pavilion with an email address on their account; please follow these step-by-step instructions to access your account. If you do not know the email account you used to register with us, please call the Community Center at (314) 842-7265. This is important so that you do not duplicate your account. 1. Click on the Online Registration button 2. Click on My Account 3. Select forgotten? to set-up a new password 4. Type in your email address 5. Click Done 6. Click Continue 7. Check your email for your temporary password 8. In ActiveNet type in your email address and temporary password 9. Click Sign-in 10. Re-type your temporary password in the current password box 11. Enter your new password 12. Re-enter password 13. If desired, you may enter in ‘Security Information’ 14. Click Save 15. The Community Center is open 5:30am to 9:00pm Monday through Thursday, 5:30am to 7:00pm Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Sunday. The Community Center has limited hours on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Halloween, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, the day after Christmas, and New Year's Eve.
